GD 1.1 - September 2010

Editorial

Welcome to the new ISA Newsletter, Global Dialogue. The new Executive Committee, Page 5, will form its editorial board. We want this newsletter to become the center for the exchange of ideas within our global community. It will appear in multiple languages (French, Spanish, Chinese and English) every two months – but it will depend on your willingness to contribute materials from Research Committees, from National Associations, and from individual members.

The newsletter will be sent to all ISA members by email and posted on the ISA website. We retain the ISAGRAM for short announcements and the revamped E-Bulletin for longer articles.

We would like to thank the following for translation, design, and technical support: August Bagà, Lola Busuttil, and Gisela Redondo all in Barcelona, Jing-Mao Ho in Taipei, Genevieve Head-Gordon in Berkeley, and José Reguera in Madrid.

Michael Burawoy, editor of Global Dialogue

Global Dialogue can be found in multiple languages.
Submissions should be sent to globaldialogue@isa-sociology.org.
